Based on the first trailer that came out, I expected this movie to be like fury road. Boy was I wrong (the motorcycle was barely in it).
Anyway, I REALLY enjoyed the first movie, and this one was almost as good. It didn't drag, didn't bore me, didn't set off my "that is stupid" alarms, and had a pretty cool plot line.
No point in giving a lot of information, I'll just say if you enjoyed the other new Star Trek movies, you will enjoy this one.
If you get all whiny about lens flares or some shaky cam in some heavy action scenes, you may have some beefs. If you can't follow half a dozen story lines, well, Star Trek probably isn't for you.
But it was great, and I'll be buying it on blu-ray as soon as I can.
